In their last match, Jos Buttler smashed 101* off 67 balls in Sharjah against Sri Lanka. That took England to a 163-run total.

They had little issue defending that as Adil Rashid took 2-19 in four overs. Sri Lanka ended on 137, losing by 26 runs.

England could choose to rest a couple of players to give others a chance. They have qualified but it remains to be seen what the staff choose to do.

South Africa Form

South Africa lost their opening match to Australia but have won their subsequent three. By the time this match starts they will know what needs to be done to qualify as Australia feature earlier in the day.

At the moment the Proteas are third behind Australia on net run rate. Should Australia beat the West Indies then South Africa will have to win well against England to get their run rate up. If Australia lose, South Africa will just need to win.

Last time out South Africa bowled superbly to dismiss Bangladesh for 84 runs in Abu Dhabi. It was the perfect opportunity to up their run rate but in what can only be described as dreadful play, they took 13.3 overs to get the target.

That could come back to bite them after Australia overtook their net run rate with a dominant display against Bangladesh.
