George Linde was the pick of the bowlers as he took 3-23 in four overs. Lizaad Williams also impressed in only his second match, taking 3-35.

Aiden Markram once again led the way for the Proteas with the bat. He scored 54 off 30 ball while Heinrich Klaasen ended unbeaten on 36 runs.

The six wicket victory sees the hosts level the series with two matches to play.

South Africa Injuries & Team News

Reeza Hendricks, Temba Bavuma and Dwaine Pretorius have all been ruled out for the series. South Africa played the same side in the first two T20Is and are likely to do the same in the third fixture.

Pakistan Form

Pakistan have been in very good T20I form but failed to put in a performance in the 2nd T20I against South Africa. After winning the 1st T20I, they lost the second by six wickets at the Wanderers.

It started poorly for Pakistan as the in-form Mohammad Rizwan played a poor shot and was dismissed off the first ball of the match. That was the first time in five T20I fixtures that Rizwan has been dismissed for less than 42 runs. Pakistan never truly recovered from that setback.

Babar Azam scored 50 runs but at a strike rate of 100, the visitors were always going to struggle to post a good total. The 140 runs they scored was never going to be enough on one of the world’s best batting wickets.

South Africa cruised home by six wickets with six overs to spare.

Fakhar Zaman could return to the side after missing the 2nd T20I. Sharjeel Khan is likely to make way.
