The bowlers never had a chance of defending that. In the end South Africa cruised to victory with just under six overs to spare.

South Africa sealed the series win in the 2nd T20 against Sri Lanka in Colombo. It was a superb all round performance by the visitors who are continuously improving in the shortest format.

The charge was led by Tabraiz Shamsi (3-20) and Aiden Markram (3-21) as they bowled Sri Lanka out for 103 runs. From there it was a matter of when South Africa would win, rather than if they would win.

Quinton de Kock hit 58* while Aiden Markram ended unbeaten on 21 runs. The chase was complete in just over 14 overs.
