Race 2 - BARTHOLDI (1)

BARTHOLDI ran a decent race in his last start over 1160m at Turffontein. His penultimate run in the Grade 3 Merchants catches the eye. The son of Act Of War gets the blinkers re-fitted this afternoon and with S’manga Khumalo in the saddle, he should return to winning ways.

Race 3 - SKY GLITTER (1)

SKY GLITTER is having her first run for the Paul Peter stable. She was a tad disappointing in her last start over a mile and drops back in distance. The 10-week break would have done her the world of good and if putting her best foot forward, she should take a power of beating in this line-up.

Race 5 - GIMME A DREAM (2)

GIMME A DREAM ran a decent race when finishing second in his last start over 2000m on this course. He stayed on at the finish, but found one too good in the form of Flashy Apache. The son of Gimmethegreenlight should have no issues with the drop to 1700m and with a bit of luck from his wide draw, he can shed his maiden tag.

Race 7 - BELLA CHICA (1)

BELLA CHICA was not disgraced when finishing third against male company in the Non-Black Type Sophomore 1000 last time. She has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this C&D. 4kgs claiming apprentice Kaidan Brewer takes the ride and back against her own sex, she should return to winning ways.

Race 8 - CAPTAIN’S RUN (2)

CAPTAIN’S RUN is much better than her last start over 1160m at Turffontein. The daughter of Captain Of All won her only attempt on this course. She takes a big drop in class and makes her Handicap debut. On best form shown, she should be the one to cause the upset.
