Bulls vs Sharks Predictions
The Bulls have yet to lose at home and crushed the Sharks 44-14 when they last met at this stadium. I'm looking at the Bulls win by 7 or more points.
- Bulls have won their last 6 home matches.
- Bulls won their last home match against the Sharks by 30 points.
- Sharks have lost 2 of their last 4 matches by 15 & 27 points.
Head to Head
The Bulls hold a 5-4 advantage over the Sharks in their last nine matches. The Sharks beat the Bulls 32-29 earlier in the Currie Cup campaign in Durban.
Bulls Form
The Bulls have been superb this season and are favourites to win the title after finishing the season at the top of the table. This after they had won the Super Rugby Unlocked trophy
Despite COVID-19 infections and a two week break, the Bulls have resumed as strong as they had left. it.
The Bulls beat the Lions 22-15 at home before going down 44-14 to the Pumas in their final Currie Cup match. The latter result was due to Jake White fielding an under-21 side.
In the semi-final the Bulls once again faced the Lions at home, a match they won 26-21. Going into the final the Bulls will need to get the better of set pieces and their discipline will be a key factor.
Bulls Injuries & Team News
The Bulls will be reliant on their forward pack once again and the incredibly accurate boot of flyhalf, Morne Steyn.
Duane Vermeulen is key to the Bulls and the way they play. If he starts gaining momentum and winning penalties on the ground, the Sharks could be in for another long afternoon in the Pretoria sun.
Sharks Form
The Sharks were inconsistent throughout the season but have come good at the right time. Earlier this season, during Super Rugby Unlocked, the Sharks last 44-14 to the Bulls at Loftus. They will not want a repeat this time around.
In the semi-final the Sharks beat Western Province 19-9 at Newlands. It was not a pretty match to watch but Curwin Bosch's boot did most of the talking.
The Sharks will seek set piece dominance but against a very strong Bulls pack, they may find parity at the very best.
Sharks Injuries & Team News
The Sharks have reported no injury concerns ahead of the Currie Cup final so they could well go into the match unchanged. Teams will be announced on Thursday afternoon.
Key to the Sharks chances will be fly-half Curwin Bosch. He has been kicking beautifully of late with any kick within 60 meters seemingly flying between the uprights.

The Bulls have not really looked like losing at home this season and I don't see that changing. I'm backing the hosts to win by more than 6 points.
