This October, Sportingbet celebrated two cash-out kings; punters who managed to beat the book and come out on top! Whether these bettors are clairvoyant or just plain lucky remains a mystery, but they certainly deserve kudos for their impressive selections, as well as their quick thinking to cash out of their respective multi bets.

The first lucky punter, from Johannesburg, placed a 32-leg multi at odds of 12,809 consisting mostly of football bets, with one tennis match involving a win for Carlos Alcaraz over Daniel Evans on Monday 9 October.

Weeks later, this bettor’s multi muti was still going strong, when he struggled past a nervy UEFA Champions League result on Tuesday, 24 October. It was the 12th leg of his multi, when a selected win for Manchester United against visitors FC Copenhagen went to a nail-biting finish. Both teams' goalkeepers made impressive saves to keep the score neutral until the 72nd minute, when an unlikely saviour in Harry Maguire scored to put United ahead.

Even so, our punter’s heart must surely have stopped when FC Copenhagen were awarded a penalty in added time – only for it to restart – along with his multi bet hopes when the penalty was saved by United keeper Andre Onana with the last kick of the game!

The bettor’s nerves eventually crashed, as he wisely cashed out, to turn his R500 bet into a whopping R481,456. And rightly so, with 31 of his 32 selections resulting in his favour. Had he not cashed out, he would’ve lost to Chelsea’s shock 2-0 demise to Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday 28 October.

Meanwhile, another punter tried his hand on a 29-leg football multi, mixing both men’s and women’s leagues around the world to make up odds of 9 849. His stake was R100, and he cashed out his bet to earn a big pay day of R480,665! Of the 29 legs, it was the very last game – Benfica Lisbon’s loss to Casa Pia AC – that would’ve derailed the bettor’s otherwise flawless run.

Fortunately for him, though, he wisely cashed out beforehand, although he also had to sit through the stressful UCL fixture between Man United and Copenhagen.
