Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz Predictions

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have annointed themselves as the top two players in the world with the rest a distance behind them. They come into this final in great form and off the back of a French Open final that will live long in the memories of those who watched.

I am backing Alcaraz to once again come out on top in five sets.

  • Jannik Sinner has won 54 of his last 58 matches.
  • Jannik Sinner has won 15 of his last 17 matches at Wimbledon.
  • Jannik Sinner has gone the distance in 4 of his last 5 matches against Carlos Alcaraz.
  • Carlos Alcaraz has won his last 5 matches against Jannik Sinner.
  • Carlos Alcaraz has won his last 24 matches.
  • Carlos Alcaraz has won his last 20 matches at Wimbledon.

Head to Head

These two have met 13 times with Sinner winning four and Alcaraz nine. The last five have all gone in the Spaniard's favour. Interestingly though, they've only met on grass once before, at Wimbledon 2022. Sinner won that match in four sets.

Jannik Sinner Form

Jannik Sinner has one Grand Slam title to his name in 2025 after a win at the Australian Open. His form at Wimbledon has been very strong, bar for one match where he was fortunate to progress.

The 23-year-old wasn’t troubled in his opening three wins at Wimbledon, easing past Luca Nardi, Aleksandar Vukic and Pedro Martinez in straight sets. He was trailing 6-3 7-5 2-2 in the fourth round when Grigor Dimitrov retired with injury.

The Italian beat Ben Shelton 7-6 6-4 6-4 in the quarter-finals, winning 67% of his 2nd serves and saving two break points. He was too good for Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals, punishing Djokovic’s 2nd serve to secure a 6-3 6-3 6-4 victory.

Carlos Alcaraz Form

Carlos Alcaraz may be young but he isn't short on experience at Wimbledon. He has won the last two editions, on both occasions beating Djokovic in the final.

The world No.2 won the French Open earlier this year, beating Sinner in five dramatic sets. He again defeated Sinner in the Rome Masters final, so the Spanniard certainly has the upperhand here.

Alcaraz had to battle to get past Fabio Fognini in 5 sets in the first round at Wimbledon. He beat World No.733 Oliver Tarvet 6-1 6-4 6-4 before 4 sets victories over Jan Lennard Struff and Andrey Rublev.

Alcaraz was at his beat in the quarter-finals where he beat Cameron Norrie 6-2 6-3 6-3, saving all five break points. He got past Taylor Fritz 6-4 5-7 6-3 7-6 in the semi-finals, saving a set point in the fourth set.

Verdict

Carlos Alcaraz has won five straight against Jannik Sinner including an epic 5 sets victory in the French Open final. I am expecting this one to go the distance, Alcaraz to come out on top in the 2025 Wimbledon final.
