The LIV Golf Tour heads to Michigan for the first time this season, where the players will team up at the Cardinal at Saint John's to compete for the team championship this weekend. Which team will emerge as the winner on Sunday?

These are our four team selections that could win the title this weekend.

Team Legion XIII

Team Legion XIII finished top of the team standings during the regular season on the LIV Golf Tour after winning four titles in 2025.

Team Legion XIII secured victories in Riyadh, Mexico City, Andalucia, and the United Kingdom.

Additionally, they placed 2nd in Adelaide, Singapore, and Indianapolis, 3rd in Dallas, 4th in Miami, and T5 in Hong Kong, South Korea, and Chicago.

Team members of Legion XIII include individual points champion Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, and Caleb Surratt.

Team Fireballs

Team Fireballs had multiple successes on the LIV Golf League this season, winning three titles.

Team Fireballs lifted the winning team trophies in Adelaide, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

Additionally, they placed 2nd in Andalucia, 3rd in Indianapolis, T3 in Chicago, T4 in the United Kingdom, 5th in Riyadh, Miami, and Dallas.

Team Fireballs consists of Sergio Garcia, Abraham Ancer, Josele Ballester, and David Puig.

Team Torque

Team Torque had a solid season on the LIV Golf Tour, achieving one victory and multiple top-five finishes.

Team Torque won the final team event of the season in Indianapolis and placed 2nd in the United Kingdom, 2nd in Chicago, 3rd in Adelaide, 3rd in Mexico City, 3rd in South Korea, 4th in Singapore, 4th in Virginia, and T5 in Hong Kong.

Team Torque is comprised of Joaquin Niemann, Sebastian Munoz, Mito Periera, and Carlos Ortiz.

Team 4 Aces

Team 4 Aces did not win any of the team events during the regular season, but went close on multiple occasions.

Team 4 Aces' best results include 2nd in Virginia, 2nd in Dallas, 3rd in Singapore, 3rd in Miami, T3 in Andalucia, T3 in Chicago, 4th in Mexico City, 4th in Indianapolis, and T5 in Adelaide.

The four team members of 4 Aces include Dustin Johnson, Thomas Pieters, Patrick Reed, and Harold Varner III.

Format

On Wednesday, Teams seeded 12th and 13th in the LIV Golf League standings face off in an elimination match-play round to see who qualifies for the quarter-finals.

12 teams go head-to-head in six matches in Friday's quarter-finals, consisting of two singles matches and one alternate shot (foursomes) match, with a total of three points available.

The six quarter-final winners will compete in Saturday's semi-finals for the three places available for the final. Each match will consist of two singles matches and one alternate shot (foursomes) match, with a total of three points available.

The format for Sunday’s Team Championship final shifts to stroke play, with each team’s total score comprising the individual scores of all four members. The team with the lowest total score is crowned the 2025 LIV Golf Team Champion.

Verdict

Team Legion XIII will look to individual points champion Jon Rahm to lead from the front to secure the LIV Golf Team Championship title in Michigan.

Team Fireballs have played well throughout their season and can take home the winner's cheque at the Cardinal at Saint John's come Sunday.

Team Torque have performed well during the latter stages of the LIV Golf League season and have Joaquin Niemann in their lineup.

Team 4 Aces have been knocking hard lately and can come out on top this weekend.
