The PGA Tour returns to TPC Twin Cities for the seventh staging of the 3M Open, with many of the world's finest golfers competing for vital FedEx Cup points this weekend. Who will claim the title in Minnesota come Sunday?

Jhonattan Vegas returns to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Max Greyserman in 2024.

Past Major winners in the field include Wyndham Clark, Zach Johnson, Adam Scott, Webb Simpson, Danny Willett, and Gary Woodland.

These are our selections that could win the title this weekend.

Sam Burns

Sam Burns has been playing well on the PGA Tour since mid-April, placing T13 at the RBC Heritage, T5 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, T30 at the Truist Championship, T19 at the PGA Championship, T12 at the Memorial Tournament, 2nd at the RBC Canadian Open, T7 at the U.S. Open, and T17 at the Travelers Championship before finishing T47 at the Genesis Scottish Open and T45 at the Open Championship last weekend.

Additional highlights achieved by Burns this year include a T8 at the Sentry, a T22 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and a T24 at the Genesis Invitational.

The five-time PGA Tour winner has made three appearances at the 3M Open, placing T7 in 2019, T32 in 2020, and T12 in 2024.

Burns has been posting solid results and can emerge victorious at TPC Twin Cities come Sunday.

Maverick McNealy

Maverick McNealy has been producing consistent results on the PGA Tour since the beginning of June, placing T5 at the Memorial Tournament, 37th at the U.S. Open, T17 at the Travelers Championship, T22 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T23 at the Open Championship last weekend.

Other noteworthy performances achieved by McNealy this season include finishing T8 at the Sentry, T9 at the WM Phoenix Open, 2nd at the Genesis Invitational, T3 at the Valero Texas Open, and T3 at the RBC Heritage.

The American golfer has featured three times at the 3M Open, placing T16 in 2021, T49 in 2022, and T3 in 2024.

McNealy has gone close to winning multiple times this year and can secure the title in Minnesota this weekend.

Chris Gotterup

Chris Gotterup has been in tremendous touch on the PGA Tour since the beginning of May, placing T15 at the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, T13 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, T28 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, MC at the RBC Canadian Open, T23 at the U.S. Open, T26 at the Rocket Classic, T21 at the John Deere Classic, victory at the Genesis Scottish Open, and 3rd at the Open Championship last weekend.

Other prominent results achieved by Gottercup in 2025 include a T25 at the Farmers Insurance Open, a T16 at the Puerto Rico Open, a T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, a T18 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, and a T12 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

The 26-year-old has contested the 3M Open twice, finishing T31 in 2022 and T59 in 2024.

Gotterup has found form and has every chance of victory at the TPC Twin Cities this weekend.

Emiliano Grillo

Emiliano Grillo has been in decent nick in his last eight outings on the PGA Tour, placing T20 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, T16 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T24 at the RBC Canadian Open, T19 at the U.S. Open, T73 at the Rocket Classic, 2nd at the John Deere Classic, T40 as the ISCO Championship, and MC at the Barracuda Championship last weekend.

Other notable results achieved by Grillo this season include a T22 at the Valspar Championship and a T18 at the Valero Texas Open.

The Argentine has compiled an excellent record at the 3M Open, placing T3 in 2020, MC in 2021, T2 in 2022, T10 in 2023, and T24 in 2024.

Grillo has been in solid form lately and can feature prominently in Minnesota this weekend.

Verdict

Burns has been thereabouts lately and can make the frame in Minnesota come Sunday.

McNealy can win his second PGA Tour title this weekend after recording four top-five places this season.

Gotterup has been in top form and will fancy his chances of victory at the 3M Open this weekend.

Grillo should enter calculations as he performs well at the TPC Twin Cities.
