The DP World Tour continues its swing through South Africa, with a strong line-up set to contest the Alfred Dunhill Championship at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club. Which player will claim the title on Sunday?

Shaun Norris is back to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Marcus Kinhult and John Parry in 2024.

Past champions in the line-up include Louis Oosthuizen, Ockie Strydom, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Brandon Stone, Charl Schwartzel, Pablo Larrazabal, and Branden Grace.

These are our four selections who could win the title this weekend.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout

Christiaan Bezuidenhout has been in great shape on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour lately, placing T6 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T10 at the Baycurrent Classic, T42 at the Bank of Utah Championship, and 4th at the Nedbank Golf Challenge last weekend.

Additional highlights from Bezuidenhout's year include a T4 at the WM Phoenix Open, a T19 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T16 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, a T12 at the U.S. Open, a T13 at the Genesis Scottish Open and a T20 at the 3M Open.

The three-time DP World Tour winner has compiled a solid record at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, with results of MC in 2015, T56 in 2016, T18 in 2018, MC in 2019, victory in 2020, T26 in 2022, 3rd in 2023, and T36 in 2024.

Bezuidenhout has found form and can win this tournament for a second time come Sunday.

Angel Ayora

Angel Ayora has been in tremendous touch on the DP World Tour since the beginning of October, placing T5 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, T9 at the Open de Espana, MC at the DP World India Championship, T7 at the Genesis Championship, T9 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, and T8 at the DP World Tour Championship.

Other notable results achieved by Ayora this year include a T14 at the Qatar Masters, a T20 at the Magical Kenya Open, a T11 at the Soudal Open, a T19 at the KLM Open, a T7 at the Italian Open, a T13 at the Betfred British Masters, a T8 at the Omega European Masters, and a T5 at the Amgen Irish Open.

The Spaniard placed T5 overall at the Alfred Dunhill Championship on debut last year.

Ayora will fancy his chances of victory in Johannesburg after securing five top-ten finishes in six events.

Jayden Schaper

Jayden Schaper has been performing well on the DP World Tour in recent months, placing 9th at the FedEx Open de France, T5 at the Open de Espana, T6 at the DP World India Championship, T23 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T20 at the DP World Tour Championship, and T2 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge last weekend.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Schaper in 2025 include T21 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T5 at the Qatar Masters, 4th at the Magical Kenya Open, T16 at the South African Open Championship, T9 at the Joburg Open, T24 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T5 at the Austrian Alpine Open, 3rd at the KLM Open, and T10 at the Italian Open.

The South African has featured five times at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, finishing T42 in 2019, T2 in 2020, T26 in 2022, T7 in 2023, and MC in 2024.

Schaper looks poised to emerge victorious at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club this weekend.

Branden Grace

Branden Grace has been in excellent form on the LIV Golf League and Asian Tour lately, placing T4 in Andalucia, T21 in the United Kingdom, T5 in Chicago, T4 in Indianapolis, and T5 at the recent PIF Saudi International.

Further prominent performances for Grace this year include a T4 at the Investec South African Open Championship, a T20 in Hong Kong, and a T19 in Virginia.

The nine-time DP World Tour winner has often performed well at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, recording a T12 in 2012, a victory in 2014, a T8 in 2015, a T20 in 2016, a T34 in 2018, a T3 in 2019, a T4 in 2022, and an MC in 2023 across eight starts.

Grace has found consistency in his game and could upstage the others with the victory in South Africa this weekend.

Verdict

Bezuidenhout enters the Alfred Dunhill Championship in top form and is well placed to win the title this weekend.

Ayora has been producing excellent results recently and has strong claims to the title at the Royal Johannesburg Golf Club.

Schaper has the form to go all the way and win his maiden DP World Tour title this weekend.

Grace appears ready to add another trophy to his collection in South Africa.
