The DP World Tour returns to South Korea for the Genesis Championship, where a field of the world's best players will compete for top honours at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club this weekend. Who will take home the winner's cheque come Sunday?

Byeong-Hun An is back to defend his title after a playoff victory over Tom Kim in 2024.

The Woo Jeong Hills Country Club has been the host venue for the Korea Open on the Asian Tour since 2003.

Past Major winners include Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Hideki Matsuyama

Hideki Matsuyama has been in decent nick on the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour since the end of June, placing T13 at the Rocket Classic, T16 at the Open Championship, T19 at the Wyndham Championship, T17 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T26 at the BMW Championship, 29th at the Tour Championship, T13 at the BMW PGA Championship, and T20 at the Baycurrent Classic.

Other prominent performances achieved by the former Masters Champion this year include a victory at the Sentry,  a T16 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T25 at the WM Phoenix, a T13 at the Genesis Invitational, a T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T21 at the Masters, and a T17 at the Truist Championship.

Matsuyama has the game to come out on top at the Genesis Championship this weekend.

Si Woo Kim

Si Woo Kim has regained his touch on the PGA Tour after a wayward couple of months, placing T14 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T19 at the BMW Championship, T5 at the BMW PGA Championship, and T20 at the Baycurrent Classic.

Other notable results achieved by Si Woo Kim this season include 12th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T21 at the WM Phoenix Open, a T24 at the Genesis Invitational, a T19 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T8 at the RBC Heritage, a T15 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, a T17 at the Truist Championship, and a T8 at the PGA Championship.

Si Woo Kim has been showing signs that he is ready to add another title to his resume at the Genesis Championship this weekend.

Todd Clements

Todd Clements has been performing well lately, placing T10 at the Open de France,  T15 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and T16 at the Open de Espana.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Clements on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour this season include a T16 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T9 at the Joburg Open, T20 at the Porsche Singapore Classic, T24 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T21 at the Italian Open, 3rd at the Barracuda Championship, and T7 at the Nexo Championship.

Clements has done nothing wrong lately and could secure victory at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club this weekend.

Joakim Lagergren

Joakim Lagergren has been in excellent form on the DP World Tour lately, placing T8 at the Omega European Masters, 2nd at the Amgen Irish Open, T54 at the BMW PGA Championship, T56 at the FedEx Open de France, T11 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, and T5 at the Open de Espana.

Additional highlights achieved by Lagergren this year include a T8 at the Bahrain Championship, a T13 at the Magical Kenya Open, and a 2nd at the KLM Open.

Lagergren will fancy his chances to win the title at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club after recording three top-ten finishes in his last six outings.

Verdict

Matsuyama has been thereabouts lately and should enter calculations at the Woo Jeong Hills Country Club this weekend.

Si Woo Kim has the form to go all the way and win the title in front of his home fans this weekend.

Clements has been in solid form on the DP World Tour lately and could lift the winning trophy come Sunday.

Lagergren has been playing well and could upstage the others with a victory at the Genesis Championship.
