After a challenging test at the U.S. Open last weekend, a star-studded field of the world's best golfers heads to Connecticut for the latest round of the PGA Tour. Who will win the Travelers Championship title come Sunday?

Scottie Scheffler returns to defend his title after a playoff victory over Tom Kim in 2024.

Past and present Major winners who will tee off on Thursday include J.J. Spaun, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, Justin Thomas, Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Jason Day, Matt Fitzpatrick, Lucas Glover, Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, and Gary Woodland.

These are our four selections that could win the championship this weekend.

Xander Schauffele

Xander Schauffele had a mediocre beginning to his season on the PGA Tour, finishing T30 at the Sentry, T40 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and 72nd at the Players Championship.

Schauffele has improved his performances since those results, placing T12 at the Valspar Championship, T8 at the Masters, T18 at the RBC Heritage, T11 at the Truist Championship, T28 at the PGA Championship, T25 at the Memorial Tournament and T12 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

The world's third-ranked player has compiled an excellent record at the Travelers Championship, placing T14 in 2017, MC in 2018, T20 in 2020, victory in 2022, T19 in 2023, and T13 in 2024.

Schauffele has not been far from producing a top result lately and should enter calculations at TPC River Highlands this weekend.

Russell Henley

Russell Henley was in decent nick at the start of his season on the PGA Tour, finishing T30 at the Sentry, T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T5 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and T39 at the Genesis Invitational.

Henley kicked on from those results, placing T6 at the Cognizant Classic, victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T30 at the Players Championship, MC at the Masters, and T8 at the RBC Heritage in his next five outings.

However, Henley's form dipped in his subsequent two starts, finishing T46 at the Truist Championship and MC at the PGA Championship before placing T5 at the Memorial Tournament and T10 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

The five-time PGA Tour winner has contested the Travelers Championship on seven occasions, finishing T11 in 2016, T6 in 2018, MC in 2019, T32 in 2020, T19 in 2021, T19 in 2023, and T48 in 2024.

Henley has had an excellent season thus far and offers excellent value in Connecticut.

Keegan Bradley

Keegan Bradley had an excellent beginning to his season on the PGA Tour,
placing T15 at the Sentry, T6 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, and T15 at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Bradley lacked consistency in his following six tournaments, finishing T65 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T34 at the Genesis Invitational, T5 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T20 at the Players Championship, T47 at the Valero Texas Open, and MC at the Masters.

However, Bradley has regained his touch lately, placing T18 at the RBC Heritage, T30 at the Truist Championship, T8 at the PGA Championship, T7 at the Memorial Tournament, and T33 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

The six-time PGA Tour winner has a long history at the Travelers Championship, finishing T63 in 2011, T29 in 2012, T18 in 2013, T31 in 2014, T39 in 2015, T25 in 2016, T8 in 2017, T47 in 2018, T2 in 2019, MC in 2020, MC in 2021, T19 in 2022, victory in 2023, and T39 in 2024.

Bradley can make the frame come Sunday as he enjoys playing at TPC River Highlands.

Harris English

Harris English missed the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii and finished T43 at the American Express at the start of his season on the PGA Tour before bouncing back to his best with victory at the Farmers Insurance Open.

English subsequent four events were steady, finishing T37 at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T24 at the Genesis Invitational, MC at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and T30 at the Players Championship.

Since then, the 35-year-old has been in consistent form, placing T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, T12 at the Masters, T66 at the RBC Heritage, T11 at the Truist Championship, T2 at the PGA Championship, T53 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T12 at the Memorial Tournament, and T59 at the U.S. Open last weekend.

The five-time PGA Tour winner has made ten appearances at the Travelers Championship, finishing T64 in 2012, T43 in 2013, T7 in 2014, T25 in 2015, MC in 2017, MC in 2018, victory in 2021, T19 in 2022, T60 in 2023, and T63 in 2024.

English brings solid form into this tournament and will be challenging for the victory in Connecticut this weekend.

Verdict

Schauffele has not been far off from returning to winning ways and can secure the Travelers Championship title come Sunday.

Henley has been in tremendous form this year and will have every chance to win at TPC River Highlands this weekend.

Bradley has the game to win this PGA Tour event for the second time.

English has played well this season and is the long-shot value bet in Connecticut.
