Yuka Saso returns to defend her title after a three-stroke victory over Hinako Shibuno in 2024.
Erin Hills was the host venue for the 2017 men's U.S. Open, won by Brooks Koepka.
Past and present Major winners in the field for Thursday's tee-off include Yuka Saso, Nelly Korda, Allisen Corpuz, Minjee Lee, A Lim Kim, Jeongeun Lee, Ruoning Yin, In Gee Chun, Sei Young Kim, Hannah Green, Hyojoo Kim, Ashleigh Buhai, Anna Nordqvist, Sophia Popov, Ariya Jutanugarn, Hinako Shibuno, Celine Boutier, Brooke M. Henderson, Jennifer Kupcho, Patty Tavatanakit, and Jin Young Ko.
These are our selections that could win the title this weekend.
Jeeno Thitikul
Jeeno Thitikul had an excellent start to her season, winning the PIF Saudi Ladies International, placing 3rd at the Honda LPGA Thailand and finishing T2 at the HSBC Women's World Championship.
Thitikul has maintained her level throughout the year on the LPGA Tour, placing T12 at the Blue Bay LPGA, 4th at the Ford Championship, T5 at the T-Mobile Match Play, T9 at the JM Eagle LA Championship, and T24 at the Chevron Championship before winning the Mizuho Americas Open.
The number two-ranked golfer has made three appearances at the U.S. Women's Open, finishing T24 in 2022, MC in 2023, and T6 in 2024.

Hyojoo Kim has won twice this season and will fancy her chances to secure her second Major title this weekend.

Since then, Jutanugarn has been in great touch, placing T3 at the T-Mobile Match Play, T2 at the Chevron Championship, and T6 at the Black Desert Championship.
