A competitive field of the world's best golfers will be competing for the remaining places in the top 70 of the FedEx Cup at the Wyndham Championship this weekend. Who will rise to the challenge and triumph at the Sedgefield Country Club come Sunday?

Aaron Rai returns to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Max Greyserman in 2024.

Past Major winners in the line-up include Keegan Bradley, Matt Fitzpatrick, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth, Lucas Glover, Adam Scott, Zach Johnson, Webb Simpson, and Gary Woodland.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick has enjoyed a fine run of results since May, placing T23 at the Truist Championship, T8 at the PGA Championship, T31 at the Memorial Tournament, T38 at the U.S. Open, T17 at the Travelers Championship, T8 at the Rocket Classic, T4 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T4 at the Open Championship.

Additional highlights achieved by Fitzpatrick this season include a T24 at the Sentry and a T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

The former U.S. Open champion finished T36 overall at the 2018 Wyndham Championship on debut.

Fitzpatrick has come good with his game and can come out on top in North Carolina this weekend.

Robert MacIntyre

Robert MacIntyre has been in excellent form during the last two months, placing T6 at the Charles Schwab Memorial, T20 at the Memorial Tournament, T36 at the RBC Canadian Open, 2nd at the U.S. Open, T17 at the Travelers Championship, T65 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T7 at the Open Championship.

Other noteworthy results achieved by MacIntyre on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour this year include a T15 finish at the Sentry, T17 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T6 at the WM Phoenix Open, T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, 9th at the Players Championship, and T9 at the Porsche Singapore Classic.

The Scotsman finished T65 in 2021 and missed the cut in 2022 at the Wyndham Championship.

MacIntyre has regained this touch from earlier in the season and can secure the title at the Sedgefield Country Club this weekend.

Jake Knapp

Jake Knapp has been in great shape on the PGA Tour since the end of June, placing T4 at the Rocket Classic, T21 at the John Deere Classic, T22 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T3 at the 3M Open last weekend.

Other notable results achieved by Knapp this season include a T17 finish at the Genesis Invitational, a T25 at the Mexico Open, a T6 at the Cognizant Classic, a T12 at the Players Championship, and a T3 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

The American is debuting at the 2025 Wyndham Championship this weekend.

Knapp offers excellent value in North Carolina after recording two top-five results in four starts.

Harry Hall

Harry Hall has been producing consistent results on the PGA Tour lately, placing T20 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, T19 at the PGA Championship, T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T24 at the RBC Canadian Open, T9 at the Travelers Championship, T13 at the Rocket Classic, T17 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and T28 at the Open Championship.

Other prominent performances achieved by Hall this season include a T8 at the Sentry, a T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T21 at the American Express, and a T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open.

The 27-year-old missed the cut at the 2023 and 2024 editions of the Wyndham Championship.

Hall has the form to cause an upset victory at the Sedgefield Country Club this weekend.

Verdict

Fitzpatrick has been knocking hard lately and will fancy his chances of securing the trophy in North Carolina come Sunday.

MacIntyre has performed well lately and has a good chance of winning the Wyndham Championship title this weekend.

Knapp should enter calculations, as he has been threatening to win another PGA Tour title lately.

Hall has been in solid form and can emerge victorious at the Sedgefield Country Club this weekend.
