Cameron Norrie vs Carlos Alcaraz Predictions

Cameron Norrie is a huge underdog here, but he will have huge support on centre court. The Brit has the ability to hit hot streaks in the match, although he does struggle to maintain them. I do see this taking at least four sets before Alcaraz takes the win.

  • Carlos Alcaraz has seen 3 of his last 4 matches go to 4 or more sets.

Head to Head

These two have met six times before with Alcaraz leading 4-2. Norrie has won two of their last three matches, including the last one in 2023. They have never met on the grass court before.

Cameron Norrie Form

Cameron Norrie is known on the ATP circuit as a fighter and his best fights always come at Wimbledon in front of his home fans. It has not been a simple route for the Brit, but he has reached the quarters in typical fashion.

Norrie took four sets to beat Roberto Bautista Agut in round one before losing the first set to Frances Tiafoe in the second round. But he bounced back to win the next three with comfort.

A straight sets win followed against Mattia Bellucci in the third round which set him up nicely against Nicolas Jarry. Norrie won the first two sets before losing the following two, both in tiebreaks. However, with the home support, Norrie won the fifth 6-3 to claim the match.

Carlos Alcaraz Form

Carlos Alcaraz is looking for a hat-trick of Wimbledon titles and it would be tough to bet against him here. However, Alcaraz has had to fight his way to the quarters.

Fabio Fognini took Alcaraz to five sets in round one before Alcaraz cruised past Oliver Tarvet in straight sets. Jan-Lennard Struff then took a set off Alcaraz in the third round.

In the round of 16, Andrey Rublev started superbly, winning the first set on a tiebreak against Alcaraz. The Russian played well throughout, but Alcaraz quality was too good as the Spaniard took sets two, three and four.

Verdict

I am backing this match to see over 32.5 games with Carlos Alcaraz to win 3-1 in four sets.
