Cameron Norrie vs Frances Tiafoe Predictions

Frances Tiafoe is priced as the favourite and does carry the better form into this match. However, Cameron Norrie often reserves his best tennis for Wimbledon, so I am backing this to be a lot closer than many think.

With the crowd behind him on court one, I am backing Norrie to take this to five sets and perhaps upset the odds.

Cameron Norrie saw 41 games in his last match.
Cameron Norrie reached the 4th round of the French Open in 2025.
Frances Tiafoe has won his last 2 matches against Cameron Norrie.

Head to Head

These two have met three times with Tiafoe leading 2-1. The last two matches have gone in Frances Tiafoe’s favour. They have never met on grass.

Cameron Norrie Form

Cameron Norrie comes into this second-round clash with some mixed form in 2025. However, the grass at Wimbledon is a place Norrie generally thrives in front of his home crowd.

While Norrie hasn’t done much to impress in the grass court tournaments leading up to Wimbledon, he did have a fine run to the fourth round at the French Open. That included a five-set victory in the first round against Daniil Medvedev.

Eventually, Novak Djokovic took care of Norrie in straight sets. In the opening round at Wimbledon 2025, Norrie defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-3 3-6 6-4 7-6.

Frances Tiafoe Form

Frances Tiafoe will be wary of his opponent but does come into this round two clash as favourite. Norrie’s big serve will be something Tiafoe will have to negate though.

Tiafoe had a good run at the French Open in May, reaching the quarterfinal stage. There he lost to Musetti in four sets after cruising through the first four rounds without dropping a set.

At the HSBC Championships prior to Wimbledon, Tiafoe lost in straight sets to Daniel Evans. Tiafoe was back to his best in the first round at Wimbledon, beating Elmer Moller in straight sets, serving seven aces and winning 88% of his first serve points.

Verdict

Cameron Norrie v Frances Tiafoe

I am backing Norrie to win this match with a possible five-set match.
