The BMW PGA Championship has attracted a star-studded field of the world's best golfers for the third Rolex Series event on the DP World Tour. Who will walk away with the honours at Wentworth this weekend?

Current members of Europe's Ryder Cup team who will tee off on Thursday include Rory McIlroy, Matt Fitzpatrick, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Robert MacIntyre, Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, Rasmus Hojgaard, Tyrrell Hatton, Jon Rahm, and Ludvig Aberg.

Past Major winners in the line-up include Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Hideki Matsuyama, Adam Scott, Francesco Molinari, Padraig Harrington, and Danny Willett.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Joaquin Niemann

Joaquin Niemann has had an impressive season on the LIV Golf League this year, winning multiple titles.

Niemann won in Adelaide, Singapore, Mexico City, Virginia, and the United Kingdom.

Additionally, Niemann placed T5 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open (DP World Tour), T3 at the International Series in India (Asian Tour), T12 in Hong Kong, T8 at the PGA Championship, T17 in Chicago, and T4 in Indianapolis.

The seven-time LIV Golf Tour winner is debuting at the BMW PGA Championship this weekend.

Niemann has been tremendous during 2025 and can emerge as the winner at Wentworth this weekend.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick has done nothing wrong on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour lately, placing T8 at the Rocket Classic, T4 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T4 at the Open Championship, T8 at the Wyndham Championship, T32 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T17 at the BMW Championship, T6 at the Betfred British Masters, and 5th at the Omega European Masters.

Other notable results achieved by Fitzpatrick this season include a T24 at the Sentry, a T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T23 at the Truist Championship, a T8 at the PGA Championship, and a T17 at the Travelers Championship.

The former U.S. Open champion has compiled a solid record at Wentworth, placing T47 in 2016, T12 in 2017, T8 in 2018, T46 in 2019, T7 in 2020, T20 in 2021, T42 in 2022, T18 in 2023, and T35 in 2024.

Fitzpatrick has been ultra-consistent during the latter half of the season and can secure victory at the BMW PGA Championship this weekend.

Robert MacIntyre

Robert MacIntyre has been in solid form since mid-June, placing 2nd at the U.S. Open, T17 at the Travelers Championship, T65 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T7 at the Open Championship, T44 at the Wyndham Championship, T38 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, 2nd at the BMW Championship, and T17 at the Tour Championship.

Other prominent performances achieved by MacIntyre on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour this year include a T15 finish at the Sentry, T17 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T6 at the WM Phoenix Open, T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, 9th at the Players Championship, T9 at the Porsche Singapore Classic, T6 at the Charles Schwab Memorial, and T20 at the Memorial Tournament.

The world's ninth-ranked golfer has made six appearances at the BMW PGA Championship, finishing T28 in 2019, T58 in 2020, MC in 2021, T50 in 2022, T45 in 2023, and T12 in 2024.

MacIntyre has gone close to winning during the past three months and will have a chance of victory at Wentworth if he can replicate those results.

Harry Hall

Harry Hall has been performing well since the end of May, placing T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T24 at the RBC Canadian Open, T9 at the Travelers Championship, T13 at the Rocket Classic, T17 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T28 at the Open Championship, T15 at the Wyndham Championship, T22 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, 6th at the BMW Championship, and T17 at the Tour Championship.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Hall this season include a T8 at the Sentry, a T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T21 at the American Express, a T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, a T20 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, and a T19 at the PGA Championship.

The Englishman placed T18 at the 2024 BMW PGA Championship on debut.
