The PGA Tour and a stellar lineup of the world's elite golfers return to Muirfield Village to compete for the prestigious Memorial Tournament title this weekend. Who will win the penultimate Signature Event in Ohio come Sunday?
Scottie Scheffler is back to defend his title after a four-stroke victory over Ben Griffin in 2025, and will attempt to win the Memorial Tournament for a third year in a row.
Past and present Major winners who will tee off at Muirfield Village on Thursday include Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun, Wyndham Clark, Jason Day, Brian Harman, Matt Fitzpatrick, Keegan Bradley, Lucas Glover, Shane Lowry, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Adam Scott, Justin Rose, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, and Gary Woodland.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Xander Schauffele
Xander Schauffele had an indifferent start to his season on the PGA Tour, missing the cut at the Farmers Insurance Open before finishing T41 at the WM Phoenix Open.
However, Schauffele bounced back to form in his subsequent nine starts, placing T19 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T7 at the Genesis Invitational, T24 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, 3rd at the Players Championship, T4 at the Valspar Championship, T9 at the Masters, T12 at the RBC Heritage, T60 at the Truist Championship, and T7 at the PGA Championship.
The two-time Major champion has made eight appearances at the Memorial Tournament, with results of MC in 2018, T14 in 2019, T13 in 2020, T11 in 2021, T18 in 2022, T24 in 2023, T8 in 2024, and T25 in 2025.
Schauffele is overdue for a big result and can emerge as the winner of the Memorial Tournament come Sunday.

Patrick Cantlay lacked consistency at the start of his season, finishing T13 at the American Express, MC at the Farmers Insurance Open, T14 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T37 at the Genesis Invitational, MC at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and T32 at the Players Championship.
However, Cantlay has been in better shape on the PGA Tour lately, placing T7 at the Valspar Championship, T12 at the Masters, T8 at the RBC Heritage, T10 at the Truist Championship before finishing T35 at the PGA Championship.

Cantlay has a proven track record at Muirfield Village and should enter calculations this weekend.
Chris Gotterup
Chris Gotterup was in fine fettle at the start of the PGA Tour season, winning the Sony Open in Hawaii, placing T18 at the Farmers Insurance Open, and winning the WM Phoenix Open before finishing T37 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and missing the Genesis Invitational.

The four-time PGA Tour winner has yet to make an impact at Muirfield Village, missing the cut in 2023 and 2024.
