The PGA Tour heads into its final stop before the Masters next week with a competitive line-up of the world's best golfers. Who will take the title at this weekend's Valero Texas Open?
Brian Harman returns to defend his title after a three-stroke victory over Ryan Gerard in 2025.
Past and present Major winners that will tee off on Thursday include J.J. Spaun, Lucas Glover, Brian Harman, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Webb Simpson, Jordan Spieth, Jimmy Walker, and Gary Woodland.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Jordan Spieth
Jordan Spieth had a decent start to his season on the PGA Tour, finishing T24 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, MC at the WM Phoenix Open, and T29 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Spieth has shown signs of returning to his best lately, placing T12 at the Genesis Invitational, T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T32 at the Players Championship, and T11 at the Valspar Championship.
The three-time Major winner has compiled an impressive record at the Valero Texas Open, placing 2nd in 2015, T30 in 2019, victory in 2021, T35 in 2022, T10 in 2024, and T12 in 2025.
Spieth has a proven track record at this event and could emerge victorious in Texas come Sunday.
Russell Henley
Russell Henley started his season on the PGA Tour in solid form, finishing T19 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T8 at the American Express, and T19 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am before missing the cut at the Genesis Invitational.
Henley did not take long to rediscover his touch after that disappointing result, placing T6 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T13 at the Players Championship.
The world's ninth-ranked player has made three appearances at the Valero Texas Open, with results of MC in 2016, T52 in 2019, and 4th in 2024.
Henley will be challenging for victory at TPC San Antonio after his recent performances.
Sepp Straka
Sepp Straka produced average to excellent performances at the beginning of his season on the PGA Tour, with results of MC at the American Express, T18 at the WM Phoenix Open, T2 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and T50 at the Genesis Invitational.
However, Straka played well in his subsequent two events, placing T13 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T8 at the Players Championship.
The four-time PGA Tour winner has featured three times at the Valero Texas Open, with results of MC in 2019, T67 in 2021, and T22 in 2023.
Straka has produced consistent results lately and will fancy his chances to take home the winner's cheque in San Antonio this weekend.
Sudarshan Yellamaraju
Sudarshan Yellamaraju had a fair beginning to his season on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, finishing T25 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, T13 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, MC at the American Express, T56 at the Farmers Insurance Open, and T54 at the WM Phoenix Open.
Yellamaraju has found another gear since those results, placing T17 at the Cognizant Classic, T37 at the Puerto Rico Open, T5 at the Players Championship, and T6 at the Texas Children's Houston Open last weekend.
The 24-year-old Canadian will make his debut at the Valero Texas Open this weekend.
Yellamaraju has come good lately and can win the title at TPC San Antonio this weekend.
