A mix of rookies and veterans on the PGA Tour return to Port Royal for the seventh edition of the Bermuda Championship this weekend. Who will emerge victorious come Sunday?
Rafael Campos is back to defend his title after a three-stroke victory over Andrew Novak in 2024.
Past Major winners in the line-up include Francesco Molinari and Danny Willett, and former winners of the Bermuda Championship: Camilo Villegas and Seamus Power.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Kevin Yu
Kevin Yu has been in decent nick on the PGA Tour since the beginning of October, placing T11 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T20 at the Baycurrent Classic, and T15 at the Bank of Utah Championship before missing the cut at the recent World Wide Technology Championship.
Other notable results achieved by Yu this season include a T16 at the WM Phoenix Open, a T17 at the Genesis Invitational, a T12 at the Valspar Championship, a T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, 4th at the Myrtle Beach Classic, 3rd at the RBC Canadian Open, and a T25 at the Travelers Championship.
The Taiwanese golfer has made three appearances at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, finishing T3 in 2022, T30 in 2023, and missing the cut in 2024.
Kevin Yu has been thereabouts lately and should enter calculations at Port Royal this weekend.
Thorbjorn Olesen
Thorbjorn Olesen has been in great shape on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour since mid-August, placing T16 at the Danish Golf Championship, T20 at the Amgen Irish Open, MC at the Procore Championship, T14 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T9 at the Open de Espana, T3 at the Bank of Utah Championship, and T14 at the World Wide Technology Championship last weekend.
Other prominent performances achieved by Olesen this season include a 5th at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, a T5 at the Valero Texas Open, a T7 at the Myrtle Beach Classic, and a T14 at the 3M Open.
The eight-time DP World Tour winner makes his debut at the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Olesen has been in top form lately and can secure the title in Bermuda this weekend.
Nico Echavarria
Nico Echavarria has been in solid form on the PGA Tour during the past four months, placing T6 at the Rocket Classic, MC at the John Deere Classic, T22 at the Genesis Scottish Open, MC at the Open Championship, T19 at the Wyndham Championship, T38 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, MC at the Procore Championship, 9th at the Baycurrent Classic, and T14 at the World Wide Technology Championship last weekend.
Other noteworthy results achieved by Echavarria this year include 2nd at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T16 at the Valspar Championship, and a T25 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
The two-time PGA Tour winner has featured three times at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, finishing T23 in 2022, T76 in 2023, and T29 in 2024.
Echavarria will fancy his chances of securing victory at the Port Royal Golf Course following his recent performances.
Takumi Kanaya
Takumi Kanaya has been playing well on the Japan Golf Tour and PGA Tour lately, winning the ANA Open Golf Tournament, and placing T21 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T4 at the Baycurrent Classic, T23 at the Japan Open Golf Championship, T33 at the Bank of Utah Championship, and T63 at the WWT Championship last weekend.
Additional highlights from Kanaya's season include a T18 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T5 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, and T7 at the 3M Open.
The 27-year-old makes his debut at the 2025 Butterfield Bermuda Championship.
Kanaya will have a chance of victory in Bermuda if he can replicate his recent results.
