After a 2-0 home league win vs TS Galaxy, they beat Upington City on penalties after a 0-0 away draw to reach the Nedbank Cup quarterfinals. On Sunday, they won 1-0 at Marumo Gallants.

Four Wins in Five – But Sekhukhune Struggling on the Road


Babina Noko have won four of their last five matches across all competitions. However, it was one victory in ten matches before that and they’ve lost three of their last six away league matches. 

A 2-0 loss at Mamelodi Sundowns was followed by a 1-0 win at TS Galaxy despite being outshot 22-5. They beat Highbury 1-0 in the Nedbank Cup and beat Orbit College 2-0 at home in the league. 

After a narrow 1-0 win at University of Pretoria in the Nedbank Cup, they lost their last match. A 3-1 defeat at Mamelodi Sundowns was two late goals conceded in a match which stood at 1-1 after 80 minutes.

Durban City (4-2-3-1): Keet; Gcaba, Ncanana, Mkhize, Mashego; Jurgens, Poggenpoel, Jodwana; Magawana, Maseko, Mokwena.

Fezile Gcaba is pushing for a recall at right back. Striker Letsie Koapeng is out injured. 

Durban City could use a false nine once again. Joslin Kamatuka may have to settle for a place on the bench, and a role as an impact substitute. 

Sekhukhune United (4-3-3): Leaner; Mogaila, Ndlovu, Cardoso, Letlapa; Monare, Mkhize, Khiba; Nku, Grobler, Mncube.

Sekhukhune have speedy striker Lehlohonolo Mojela available after suspension. Left winger Keletso Makgalwa is pushing for a recall after falling out of favour lately. 

Right back Tsepo Matsimbi and midfielder Linda Mntambo are still injured. Lebohang Phiri and Lesiba Nku are op to freshen up the midfield.
