A star-studded field returns to the historic Riviera Country Club this year to compete for the Genesis Invitational title in California this weekend. Who will win the second PGA Tour Signature Event of the season on Sunday?

Past and present Major winners who will tee off this Thursday include Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Xander Schauffele, Brian Harman, Wyndham Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick, Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, Shane Lowry, Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day, and Lucas Glover.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood has been on top of his game on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour in recent months, placing T3 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T4 at the BMW Championship, victory at the Tour Championship, T46 at the BMW PGA Championship, T21 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, victory at the DP World India Championship, 2nd at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, T3 at the DP World Tour Championship, 25th at the Dubai Invitational, T41 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and T4 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last weekend.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Fleetwood this season include a T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T14 at the Players Championship, a T16 at the Valspar Championship, a T21 at the Masters, 7th at the RBC Heritage, a T4 at the Truist Championship, a T4 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, a T16 at the Memorial Tournament, a T2 at the Travelers Championship, and a T16 at the Open Championship.

The world's fourth-ranked golfer has featured five times at the Genesis Invitational, finishing T37 in 2018, T28 in 2019, T20 in 2023, T10 in 2024, and T5 in 2025.

Fleetwood has been holding form since his recent successes and can make the frame in California this weekend.

Jake Knapp

Jake Knapp has been in solid form on the PGA Tour this season, placing T11 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T5 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T8 at the WM Phoenix Open, and T8 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Additional highlights achieved by Knapp last season include a T25 at the Mexico Open, a T6 at the Cognizant Classic, a T12 at the Players Championship, a T3 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, a T4 at the Rocket Classic, a T21 at the John Deere Classic, a T22 at the Genesis Scottish Open, and a T3 at the 3M Open.

The American golfer finished T17 overall at the 2025 Genesis Invitational on debut.

Knapp has been achieving top results lately and offers excellent value in California.

Matt Fitzpatrick

Matt Fitzpatrick has been in outstanding form on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour in his last nine starts, placing T6 at the Betfred British Masters, 5th at the Omega European Masters, T5 at the BMW PGA Championship, T21 at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, T32 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, victory at the DP World Tour Championship, T63 at the American Express, 9th at the WM Phoenix Open, and T14 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last weekend.

Shane Lowry

The former Open Champion has made four appearances at the Genesis Invitational, with results of WD in 2017, MC in 2018, T14 in 2023, and T39 in 2025.

Lowry can convert his consistent results into a winning performance at the Riviera Country Club this weekend.

Verdict

Fleetwood has been posting top results lately and has the form to come out on top at the Genesis Invitational come Sunday.

Knapp has been on an upward trajectory and could secure a victory this weekend.

Fitzpatrick has been ever-present on the leaderboards recently and can pocket the winner's cheque at the Riviera Country Club this weekend.

Lowry looks ready to return to the winner's circle and should enter calculations in California.
