The China Open returns to Enhance Anting for the second time, where a competitive field will compete for the title in Shanghai this weekend. Who will win the latest edition of the DP World Tour come Sunday?

Ashun Wu is back to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Jordan Smith in 2025.

Past champions in the field include Alexander Levy and Adrian Otaegui.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Angel Ayora

Angel Ayora has been performing well on the DP World Tour lately, placing T5 at the Qatar Masters, T8 at the Magical Kenya Open, T9 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T18 at the Joburg Open, T28 at the Hainan Classic, and T11 at the Hero Indian Open.

Before that, Ayora had a decent start to his season, registering a T8 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, a T46 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, a T21 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, a T13 at the Dubai Invitational, a T26 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, and an MC at the Bahrain Championship.

The young Spaniard finished T49 at the 2025 Volvo China Open on debut.

Ayora can convert his recent results into a winning performance in China come Sunday.

Daniel Hillier

Daniel Hillier has been in tremendous form on the DP World Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia this season, placing T5 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, T6 at the Crown Australian Open, 2nd at the Dubai Invitational, T26 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T4 at the Bahrain Championship, and T20 at the Qatar Masters before winning the 105th New Zealand Open.

The New Zealander has contested the Volvo China Open twice, finishing T23 in 2024 and T36 in 2025.

Hillier has been in fine fettle in recent months and can pocket the winner's cheque at Enhance Anting this weekend.

Jorge Campillo

Jorge Campillo has been there and thereabouts on the DP World Tour lately, placing T18 at the Magical Kenya Open, MC at the Investec South African Open Championship, T18 at the Joburg Open, 2nd at the Hainan Classic, and T20 at the Hero Indian Open.

Before those results, Campillo had a solid beginning to his season, finishing T23 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T23 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, T19 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T16 at the Bahrain Championship, and MC at the Qatar Masters.

The four-time DP World winner has made four appearances at the Volvo China Open, placing T9 in 2017, T3 in 2018, 3rd in 2019, and MC in 2025.

Campillo has been showing signs that he is ready to return to the winner's circle in China this weekend.

Adrian Otaegui

Adrian Otaegui has been in great touch on the DP World Tour lately, placing T6 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T6 at the Joburg Open, T3 at the Hainan Classic, and T61 at the Hero Indian Open.

Before that, Otaegui struggled with his game at the start of his season, with results of MC at the Dubai Invitational, MC at the Bahrain Championship, T52 at the Qatar Masters, and MC at the Magical Kenya Open.

The three-time DP World Tour winner has compiled an excellent record at the Volvo China Open, with results of MC in 2017, 2nd in 2018, victory in 2024, and T26 in 2025.

Otaegui has done nothing wrong lately, and he should enter calculations at the Enhance Anting Golf Course this weekend.

Verdict

Ayora has been ultra-consistent lately and can lift the trophy in China come Sunday.

Hillier has been knocking hard and has claims for the title at the Volvo China Open this weekend.

Campillo comes into the tournament with solid results behind him and could emerge victorious at Enhance Anting this weekend.

Otaegui has produced noteworthy results lately and could cause an upset victory come Sunday.
