Andrey Rublev vs Lloyd Harris Predictions

Andrey Rublev is the big favourite but his inconsistency is difficult to back. Harris is not having his best year but is a very dangerous grass court opponent with his big serve. The games overs market is in play with value on a couple of tie breaks.

Head to Head

These two have met three times on the ATP tour – in 2020, 2021 and 2025. Their last meeting was a few weeks ago on the clay at Roland Garros, a match Rublev won in four sets.

Andrey Rublev Form

Andrey Rublev’s form has been inconsistent, not quite reaching the highs of previous years. He has also dropped out of the top 10, ranked 14th in the world at the moment.

He is favourite to knock over Lloyd Harris, but it would be a risky bet at such a short price. In the first round, Rublev knocked out Laslo Djere in four sets. Much like Harris, three of his sets also went the tie break.

Concerning for Rublev will be his number of unforced errors. That will have to improve drastically because Harris has the grass court game to make him pay.

Lloyd Harris Form

The big-serving South African has endured a struggle in 2025 with his form just not quite reaching its peak. He has spent some time on the Challenge Circuit, trying to find his way back into the form.

Harris only qualified for Wimbledon because of his protected ranking. However, Harris remains a very dangerous player with quality ground strokes and a very strong serve.

In the first round, Harris beat Zizou Bergs in four sets, three of which went to tie breaks. Looking back a few weeks to the French Open, Harris had to go through qualifiers where he eventually lost in the first round to Andrey Rublev, but he did take the match to four sets.

Verdict

An outright winner either way in this one is a risky bet given the form of both sides. I do, however, expect a high number of games with a tie break or two to take place. Do not be surprised if this match goes the distance.
