A competitive field comprising the best players on the DP World Tour returns to the International in Amsterdam to compete for the KLM Open title this weekend. Who will walk away with the honours come Sunday?

Connor Syme returns to defend his title after a two-stroke victory over Joakim Lagergren in 2025.

Past Major winners who will tee off at the International on Thursday include Francesco Molinari and Danny Willett.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Ewen Ferguson

Ewen Ferguson had some solid to poor results at the beginning of the DP World Tour season, finishing T10 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T20 at the Dubai Invitational, T33 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, MC at the Bahrain Championship, T24 at the Qatar Masters, and MC at the Magical Kenya Open.

Ferguson has been in better shape since those performances, placing T9 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T57 at the Joburg Open, T6 at the Hero Indian Open, MC at the Volvo China Open, T4 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T25 at the Catalunya Championship, MC at the Soudal Open, and T17 at the Austrian Alpine Open last weekend.

The three-time DP World Tour winner has compiled a solid record at the KLM Open, finishing T37 in 2022, T8 in 2023, T27 in 2024, and T4 in 2025.

Ferguson has the form to go all the way and win the title in Amsterdam this weekend.

Ricardo Gouveia

Ricardo Gouveia was in decent nick during the opening months of the DP World Tour season, finishing T8 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, MC at the Crown Australian Open, T7 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, MC at the Bahrain Championship, MC at the Qatar Masters, and T9 at the Magical Kenya Open before missing the cut in his subsequent four events.

However, the Portuguese golfer has been playing well since those results, placing T7 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T13 at the Catalunya Championship, T24 at the Soudal Open, and T2 at the Austrian Alpine Open last weekend.

The 34-year-old has made eight appearances at the KLM Open, with results of MC in 2017, MC in 2018, MC in 2019, T58 in 2021, T7 in 2022, MC in 2023, MC in 2024, and T19 in 2025.

Gouveia has done nothing wrong lately, and he should enter calculations in Amsterdam this weekend.

Marcus Armitage

Marcus Armitage was in solid form at the beginning of the DP World Tour season, placing T21 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T40 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship, T15 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, T7 at the Dubai Invitational, and T7 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic.

Armitage could not maintain his level of play in his next three starts, finishing T62 at the Qatar Masters, T29 at the Investec South African Open Championship, and T45 at the Joburg Open, before returning to form, placing T3 at the Hainan Classic, MC at the Hero Indian Open, T9 at the Turkish Airlines Open, MC at the Catalunya Championship, T2 at the Soudal Open, and T26 at the Austrian Alpine Open last weekend.

The 38-year-old has featured five times at the KLM Open, with results of MC in 2017, T31 in 2022, T29 in 2023, MC in 2024, and T40 in 2025.

Armitage will fancy his chances of getting over the finish line at the International after placing runner-up twice in six outings.

Gregorio De Leo

Gregorio De Leo was there and thereabouts at the start of his season on the DP World Tour, finishing T14 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship, MC at the Crown Australian Open, T21 at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, T64 at the Bahrain Championship, T9 at the Qatar Masters, and T23 at the Magical Kenya Open.

De Leo's form dipped in his next four starts, with results of MC at the South African Open Championship, T66 at the Hainan Classic, and T54 at the Hero Indian Open.

However, the 26-year-old has regained his form lately, placing T16 at the Volvo China Open, T7 at the Turkish Airlines Open, T70 at the Catalunya Championship, T8 at the Soudal Open, and T4 at the Austrian Alpine Open last weekend.

The Italian golfer finished T65 at the KLM Open in 2025 on debut.

De Leo has been performing well lately and can cause an upset victory at the International this weekend.

Verdict

Ferguson has previously performed well at the KLM Open and will fancy his chances of lifting the trophy come Sunday.

Armitage will have every chance of victory in Amsterdam if he can replicate his recent results.

Gouveia has found consistency in his game and can emerge as the winner at the International this weekend.

De Leo has been knocking hard lately and can secure the title in the Netherlands this Sunday.
