The DP World Tour and a competitive field return to Belgium to contest the Soudal Open this weekend. Who will walk away with the honours in Antwerp come Sunday?

Kristoffer Reitan returns to defend his title after a play-off victory over Ewen Ferguson and Darius van Driel in 2025.

Former champions Nacho Elvira and Simon Forrstrom are also in the field.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Thomas Detry

Thomas Detry had a solid beginning to his season on the DP World Tour, finishing T6 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge and T14 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic before missing the cut at the Bahrain Championship.

Detry found another gear on the LIV Golf League since those results, placing 7th in Riyadh, 31st in Adelaide, 2nd in Hong Kong, T15 in Singapore, T3 in South Africa, T5 in Mexico City, T6 in Virginia, and MC at the PGA Championship last weekend.

The Belgian golfer has made two appearances at the Soudal Open, missing the cut in 2022 before placing T7 in 2023.

Detry can convert his results into a victory at Rinkven International this weekend.

Josele Ballester

Josele Ballester had an excellent beginning to his season on the DP World Tour, placing T10 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship and T6 at the Crown Australian Open before finishing T27 in Riyadh, T32 in Adelaide, and T41 in Hong Kong in the LIV Golf League.

Since then, Ballester has performed well, securing a T6 in Singapore, a T12 in South Africa, 3rd in Mexico City, a T3 at the Singapore Open (Asian Tour), and 5th in Virginia.

The Spaniard will make his debut at the 2026 Soudal Open.

Ballester has been in fine form lately and can win his maiden DP World Tour title in Belgium come Sunday.

Ewen Ferguson

Ewen Ferguson was in decent nick at the beginning of the DP World Tour season, finishing T10 at the Nedbank Golf Challenge, T20 at the Dubai Invitational, T33 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, MC at the Bahrain Championship, T24 at the Qatar Masters, and MC at the Magical Kenya Open.

Ferguson has regained his touch since those results, placing T9 at the Investec South African Open Championship, T57 at the Joburg Open, T6 at the Hero Indian Open, MC at the Volvo China Open, T4 at the Turkish Airlines Open, and T25 at the recent Catalunya Championship.

The three-time DP World Tour winner has made three appearances at the Soudal Open, finishing T58 in 2022, T33 in 2023, and T2 in 2025.

Ferguson has done nothing wrong lately, and he should enter calculations in Antwerp this weekend.

Kazuma Kobori

Kazuma Kobori struggled with his game during his opening four tournaments on the DP World Tour, missing the cut in three events, with his best result being T25 at the BMW Australian PGA Championship.

However, Kobori has bounced back to form since then, placing T9 at the Qatar Masters, T19 at the 105th New Zealand Open (PGA Tour of Australasia), T6 at the ISPS Handa Japan-Australasia Championship (PGA Tour of Australasia), T34 at the Hainan Classic, T50 at the Hero Indian Open, T58 at the Volvo China Open, T13 at the Turkish Airlines Open, and T6 at the Catalunya Championship.

The New Zealander finished T25 overall at the 2025 Soudal Open on debut.

Kobori will be challenging for the title in Belgium if he can keep replicating his recent performances.

Verdict

Detry has been knocking hard this season and has strong claims for the Soudal Open title this weekend.

Ballester has been ultra-consistent lately and can emerge victorious at Rinkven International come Sunday.

Ferguson has been showing signs that he is ready to win another DP World Tour title.

Kobori has been there and thereabouts recently and could cause an upset victory in Belgium this weekend.
