Race 1 - CLEAN LIVING (10)
CLEAN LIVING has run two decent races to date. She showed good speed in her last start, but found one too good in the form of Magic Tycoon. She returns from a 14-week break during which time she would have strengthened up. She takes on maiden company and should give the males a run for their money.
Race 2 - FLOWERBOMB (4)
FLOWERBOMB showed good speed in her last start over 1100m, but was caught late by Time Fo Orchids. She is having her second run after a rest and should strip a much fitter horse. The daughter of Erupt is a progressive type and may find herself in the winner’s enclosure.
Race 3 - KILL SHOT (12)
KILL SHOT is one of the better bets on this card. She stayed on nicely at the finish when third over this C&D last time. She carries a handy galloping mass of 54.5kgs and in this type of field, she can shed her maiden tag.
Race 4 - GOOD COUNCIL (9)
GOOD COUNCIL ran a good race when finishing second over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He stayed on nicely at the finish, but found one too good in the form of Grinkov. The son of Oratorio will be at home over 2000m and should take a power of beating.
Race 6 - SUCCESSFUL SECRE (1)
SUCCESSFUL SECRET’S last start against stronger company can be ignored as he was reported to be not striding out. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from eleven starts over this distance. He drops back in class and with the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Donald Geerthsen, he should notch up his fifth career victory.

Clean Living (Race 1) is Magic Tips' best bet of the day at Vaal on Thursday.
