GOOD COUNCIL ran a good race when finishing second over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Scottsville last time. He stayed on nicely at the finish, but found one too good in the form of Grinkov. The son of Oratorio will be at home over 2000m and should take a power of beating.

SUCCESSFUL SECRET’S last start against stronger company can be ignored as he was reported to be not striding out. He has won twice, finished second twice and third once from eleven starts over this distance. He drops back in class and with the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Donald Geerthsen, he should notch up his fifth career victory.
