The Premier Soccer League's promotion/relegation playoffs are underway with Royal Eagles having beaten Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila at Chatsworth Stadium 1-0 in the opening match. However, Maritzburg United will only enter the fray on Sunday when they host Royal Eagles at Harry Gwala Stadium. Recent form suggests we can expect a big performance from the Team of Choice.

Maritzburg United endured a troubled start to the season which cost two different head coaches, Fadlu Davids and Muhsin Ertugral, their jobs. However, since Eric Tinkler took charge, the Team of Choice have completely turned their fortunes around.

As a matter of fact, neither do Maritzburg United. It was not long ago that the club was often involved in relegation battles and they know what it takes to survive.
