Griquas are always a very solid side, capable of causing some upsets, particularly on home soil, but generally don’t challenge too high up the table.
However, in Kimberley, this Griquas side is very tough to beat. Conditions are fast and hard, something they are very used to. Last week, Griquas got off to a slow start, losing 49-28 to the Pumas away.
Griquas showed plenty of class on attacking during the game, particularly at the start, but over the 80 minutes, the Pumas were far superior.

Griquas are likely to make a few changes to their side. I expect bar for injuries, two or three changes in the pack.
Boland Form
Boland are back for their first year in the top division since 2017. The Boland is a rich rugby talent area in South Africa but have consistently failed to produce at provincial level.
However, their return to the Currie Cup Premier Division this season has become very interesting. Last week, in their opening game, Boland beat the more fancied Cheetahs 37-35.
After building substantial first half lead, the hosts saw the Cheetahs claw their way back into the match after half time. Eventually the pressure told, and the Cheetahs went into the lead, only for Boland to snatch the game late on through some drama.

Boland were excellent last week and are likely to entrust the same players, depending on injuries.
