Head to Head

The Hollywoodbets Sharks have a slight edge with three victories to one against the Sanlam Boland Kavaliers.

Sharks Form

The Hollywoodbets Sharks ended their four-match losing streak in the Currie Cup last weekend after beating DHL Western Province 29-21 at home.

Before that victory, the Sharks lost 46-5 to the Lions, 64-0 to the Bulls, 7-5 to the Cheetahs, and 26-17 to the Griquas.

The Sharks are 7th on the Carling Currie Cup table with six points from five matches.

The Hollywoodbets Sharks will be pleased to have finally chalked up their first victory of the season, but face a tricky test against a Boland side that has been playing well lately.

Sharks Team News & Injuries

Starting XV: Phatu Ganyane, Jacques Marais, Mawande Mdanda, Coetzee Le Roux, Deon Slabbert, Tino Mavesere, Jannes Potgieter, Nick Hatton, Ceano Everson, Siya Masuku, Paschal Ekeji, Albie Bester, Diego Apollis, Phikolomzi “PK” Sobahle, Hakeem Kunene

Boland Form

Boland secured a 29-26 away win over the Pumas last weekend, extending their winning streak in the Currie Cup to three matches.

Before that result, Boland edged the Cheetahs 37-35, had lost 48-39 to the Griquas,  before beating the Lions 29-10 and the Bulls 28-20.

The Sanlam Boland Kavaliers are 2nd in the league standings with 20 points from five games.

Boland have been in great touch lately, and will fancy their chances against a Sharks side that has been conceding points regularly this season.

Boland Team News & Injuries

Head coach Hawies Fourie will more than likely start with a similar XV that got the job done against the Pumas.
