This has all the makings of a classic semi-final. Both teams are in good form and the fact that Bordeaux are at home makes all that much more interesting. This could go either way, but I am backing Toulouse to come out on top and cover the -2.5 handicap.

They lost last week in the Top 14 at home to La Rochelle after resting key players for this game. In late March, Bordeaux beat Toulouse 32-24 at home, so that will give them plenty of confidence.

Bordeaux will make plenty of changes from the side that lost to La Rochelle last week. The team, barring further injury, should look more like that one that beat Munster in the quarterfinal.

Toulouse Form

Toulouse has dominated French rugby for a few years now and are the defending European Champions Cup champions. They beat Leinster in the 2023/24 final.

The double winners from last year are looking to repeat that feat this season, leading the Top 14 by 10 points and with a chance to make another final on Sunday. Toulouse beat Sale and Toulon to reach the semi-final with the away win over Toulon ending 21-18.

The last two Top 14 games have also been won. Toulouse beat Stade Francais 27-21 and thrashed Castres 52-6 this last weekend.
