Montpellier won all their EPCR Challenge Cup Pool 1 fixtures. They defeated Black Lion 24-13 away, Zebre 31-7 at home, Connacht 33-31 at home, and the Ospreys 31-26 away.
Montpellier played two home fixtures in the Top 14 since the qualifiers. They beat Stade Francais 44-7 and Racing 92 41-17.
Montpellier have been in excellent form during the competition, and have won eight in a row at home, including edging Connacht earlier this year, giving them the advantage to progress to the semi-finals.

Connacht scored 22 unanswered points in the second half against the Sharks to win their EPCR Challenge Cup round of 16 match 29-12 last weekend after trailing 12-7 at the break.
Connacht had mixed results during their European Challenge Cup pool stage qualifiers. They lost 24-21 to the Ospreys away from home, thumped Black Lion 52-0 at home, and lost 33-31 to Montpellier away before thrashing Montauban 75-14 at home.
Connacht have won two away matches in the URC since reaching the knockout rounds of the competition. They defeated Zebre 31-15 and Ulster 26-19.
Connacht have come good in recent outings, winning six in a row, but they have lacked consistency away from home this season, and have lost their two visits to Montpellier.
