Bath vs Gloucester Predictions - Bath set for big win over Gloucester in Premiership

Bath beat Gloucester 45-27 away from home in early November 2023.

Bath are having a fine season and are only two points off top in the Premiership. They are also only one point clear of sixth place so a bad result could be costly.

At home, Bath have been superb this season though. While they lost last weekend 35-22 at Leicester, they won their four games prior to that.

In the Champions Cup, Bath defeated Ulster at home and Cardiff away. They then returned to action with a 25-17 victory over Harlequins on home soil. 

After a successful two games in the Challenge Cup, Bath can probably field their strongest side this weekend and rest some players next week at home to Racing 92.

Gloucester are struggling for form this season with just two wins and eight defeats in their 10 Premiership fixtures. They are on 16 points, well clear of Newcastle at the bottom but also five points off Bristol above them.

Over the last two weeks in the Premiership, Gloucester will feel rather unlucky. They narrowly lost 31-29 at home to Northampton before going down 32-26 at Harlequins.

In both games, the bounce of the ball could have ensured different results, but now Gloucester need to start winning if they are to climb the table.

Gloucester won their two Challenge Cup games earlier in December 2023 so may prioritise this fixture over their game in Edinburgh next weekend.
