Bath vs Leicester Predictions

This should be a cracking final with both teams in fine form. The handicap is set at 9.5 points with Bath as favourites. This final is at a neutral venue, so I do expect it to be close. My best bet is for Leicester to get within 9.5 points on Saturday with an upset win possible.

To top this off, Bath also won the European Challenge Cup a few weeks ago. They are certainly the form team in England this season and looking back at where they were a few years ago, this is a massive achievement.

In mid-May, Bath thrashed Leicester 43-15 in a regular season game, a week before they beat Lyon for European glory. That was followed by a defeat to Saracens in the final game of the league season.

Last week, in the semi-final, Bath struggled initially against Bristol but over the 80 minutes, they proved too good – winning the match 34-20.

Finn Russell will once again be key player for Bath this weekend. He has been superb all season for the English club but he will need the forwards to find parity with Leicester.

Leicester finished second on the table this season after a very average start. However, they are in great form coming into this match having won five of their last 6 matches in the Premiership.

Their only defeat in that run did, however, come against Bath when they lost 43-15 at home. It will be different names of the team sheet this weekend, so that result won’t bother the Tigers.

Last weekend, in the semi-final, Leicester overcame a tough challenge at home, beating Sale Sharks 21-16.

Michael Cheika is unlikely to tamper too much with the team from last weekend. He has instilled a self-belief in the team, and they should be well up for this encounter.
