The Saints are flying at the top of the Premiership table, one point ahead of Exeter. They have won seven of their 10 games and are currently on a six-match winning streak.

Prior to the Champions Cup break, Northampton beat Harlequins narrowly at home and Saracens away. It was followed by wins over Glasgow and Toulon in Europe.

Over the last two weeks, the Saints have continued their form, beating Gloucester 31-29 away and Sale 21-17 at home. The latter took them above the Sharks into top spot.
