- Head-to-Head
- Gloucester Form
- Harlequins Form
- Gloucester have won 4 of their 6 home matches in the Premiership
- Harlequins have lost 5 of their last 6 matches in all competitions
- Harlequins have not covered the -5.5 handicap in their last 2 away fixtures in the Premiership
Head-to-Head
Harlequins lead the matchup by 32-25 with 1 draw in the 58 meetings.
The last match ended in a 21-12 win at home for Harlequins.
Gloucester Form
The Cherry and Whites are in fifth place with six wins from their thirteen matches. They have done much better at home this season and will look to capitalise on this.
Gloucester’s recent results includes a 19-16 home loss to Saracens which preceded a 49-14 home loss to Leinster. A 26-17 away win at Bordeaux would be the next result.
The most recent result was a 24-17 away loss at Exeter. The match lacked attacking quality from either team but the home advantage allowed Exeter to keep Gloucester at bay. A last-minute penalty ensured that a losing bonus point was at least secured for Gloucester.
Team news will be announced at a later stage but they should have an almost full strength side available except for Louis Rees-Zammit and George McGuigan who are retained by their National teams.
Harlequins Form
Quins are one place below in sixth position after also winning six matches from their thirteen played. Their away record has suffered of late and will need to be wary of this.
Recent form has seen Harlequins lost 24-16 at home to Sale Sharks and then a 30-29 loss at Racing 92. A 39-29 home win against the Sharks in the Champions Cup would follow.
Harlequins lost 42-24 at London Irish in their last fixture. A red card to Stephan Lewies in the first half proved too costly as London Irish cantered to victory. The match was effectively won by half time and petered out in the second half with the result secured.
We await team news but we know they will be without key international players who are still away which includes the likes of Marcus Smith, Joe Marchant and Alex Dombrandt.
Verdict
Gloucester’s home record should see them over the line and cover the handicap in this one with Harlequins missing five international players.
