A cracker of a match is expected in London as two of the better teams duke it out. Sale have the better record and form of late but know that home ground advantage will give Harlequins a boost. This is expected to go down to the wire with very little to choose between the sides.

Quins have had a very good start to the season this year with six wins from their eleven matches. They have hit a little bump in the road of late after a couple of losses on the trot.

The London based team have recently lost to the Sharks by 39-31 in South Africa and would then go onto beat Racing 92 in the Champions Cup. A home loss to Bristol by 15-12 would follow subsequently.

Their most recent match saw them lose 46-17 at Northampton. Quins were blown away by a complete performance by Northampton as nothing seemed to click in the game. It was the largest defeat they have suffered at the hands of Northampton.

Harlequins will have the same squad available for selection as no new injuries have been identified as yet. Influential prop Joe Marler is still serving a suspension and will miss the fixture.

Sale Form and News

Sale are once again a force to be reckoned with in the Premiership as they find themselves in second position on the table after winning eight of their eleven matches.

Recent results for the Sharks have seen them beat Ulster 39-0 and lost 45-19 at Toulouse in the Champions Cup. They would then go on to lose 20-14 at Newcastle.

A resounding 40-5 home win against Leicester was the last match they played. They dominated from start to finish in one of the most impressive displays by any team this season. Leicester barely had a sniff in the match as the Sharks picked up a valuable bonus point win.

Team news is still to be announced as we expect Sale to have the same squad available for selection as the previous fixture. Scrumhalf Joe Simpson retired after the last match and is not included.

I expect Sale to come away with the victory in this match due to their superior head-to-head record and overall better form.
