Both sides have been inconsistent this season, but Leicester have been strong at home. Saracens have struggled away at times so I’m backing the hosts to win and cover the -1 handicap.

At home Leicester are still a very good side as proven this season, winning their last four on their own patch. On New Year’s Eve, the Tigers were superb, beating Bath 35-22 at home.

Prior to that, Leicester lost 29-10 at Exeter but did beat Stade Francais 27-24 away in the Champions Cup.

This is a massive game for Leicester on home soil. A victory will close the six-point gap to Saracens on the table.

Saracens Form

Saracens are having a very strange season by their standards. The normally dominant side are languishing down in fifth place with six wins and four defeats in 10 matches.

Sarries lost to the Bulls in South Africa in their Champions Cup opener before bouncing back to beat Connacht at home a week later. Upon their return to the Premiership, Saracens lost 22-20 at Sale.

Last week Saracens cruised to a 37-19 victory at home against Newcastle. It was a match they were always likely to win given the form of the Falcons this season.
