Bath beat Northampton 43-12 just three weeks ago on home soil. This, however, isn’t a home game and Northampton rested players for that game.

Northampton topped the Rugby Premiership table this season with some stunning performances. They were quite a surprise, beating some more fancied teams to the top of the table.

The Saints also carry some good form into this game. While they lost two on the bounce at the end of April/start May, Northampton bounced back to thrash a young Gloucester team 90-0. They then lost to Bath away, but again, rested key players for this game.

Last week, the Saints came through 22-20 at home against Saracens. It was a very tight contest, and for a while Saracens looked like they may steal it, but the hosts held on in the last minutes.

Bath Form

Bath have had a fantastic season, finishing second on the table. They have had a few very tough years, but finally their potential is starting to show.

Bath come into this game having won their last three matches. They struggled past Newcastle 28-17 away but beat Northampton 43-1 at home thereafter.

In their semi-final last weekend, Bath beat Sale Sharks 31-23 at home. It was another tight game, but the hosts were too good over 80 minutes.
