Glasgow vs Bulls Predictions - Bulls to challenge Glasgow in Scotland

Editor
Last updated: 3 hours ago

As the Glasgow Warriors prepare to face the Bulls, both teams come into the match with a similar record. Glasgow has maintained strong form, securing victories in three of their last four games, including impressive home wins. Meanwhile, the Bulls are adjusting to a new playing style under their coaching team. They have also won three of their four matches, though not convincingly. Glasgow is expected to continue with their current squad, while the Bulls await confirmation on a potential suspension for Jan-Hendrik Wessels.

Glasgow vs Bulls Predictions

The Bulls have the same record as Glasgow this season but from a performance perspective, the Bulls are nowhere near their best. I do think Glasgow will be too good, but the 10.5 handicap will be tough to cover for the hosts.

Head to Head

Last season the Bulls beat Glasgow 26-19 away from home.

Glasgow Form

Glasgow have made a good start to the season, winning three of their opening four matches. They are currently third on the table with 16 points.

A round one 35-19 home win over the Sharks was followed by a narrow two-point defeat at Benetton. The Warriors bounced back in emphatic fashion to thrash the Dragons 49-0 at home a fortnight ago.

In keeping with their impressive form, Glasgow ran riot last week in Wales against Ospreys, winning the game 42-17. Bar for the one hiccup in Italy, Glasgow have dominated all their games to date, although this one will be their biggest test yet.

Glasgow Injuries & Team News

I expect Glasgow to stick with most of the players from last week. This is the final week before the URC takes a break for the Autumn internationals in November.

Bulls Form

The Bulls are still coming to terms with the expectations and change in playing style of the new coaching group. However, they still won three of their four games, albeit not as convincing as they may have liked.

In round one, the Bulls beat Ospreys 53-40 at home after trailing at half time. They then defeated a weakened Leinster side 39-31 at home in round two.

The Bulls then embarked on their European tour where they were hammered 28-7 by Ulster. That was a really poor showing from last season’s runners-up.

Last weekend, the Bulls returned to winning ways with a 28-27 success against Connacht. It was a well-deserved win after dominating much of the game, but the Bulls let the hosts back in late on through poor errors which almost cost them the win.

Bulls Injuries & Team News

We are still waiting for confirmation regarding Jan-Hendrik Wessels possible suspension. Reports suggest it could be nine weeks, but there is no official word as yet.

Verdict

I am backing the Bulls to get within 10.5 points of Glasgow.
