Sharks vs Munster Predictions
This has the making of the game of the weekend. Munster may have had a poor season to date but can win in Durban. A late kick-off in Durban is also often hampered by a wet ball with plenty of humidity and dew around. I fancy Munster to get within the 7.5 handicap and perhaps win.

- Sharks have won their last 4 URC matches.

- Munster have won their last 2 matches.
Head to Head
These two met earlier this season in Durban where the Sharks won 41-24. That match took place in October 2024.
Sharks Form
The Sharks have been strange this season despite a good third place finish. They have not played very well but the quality they possess on the pitch has often dragged them over the line.
Since losing 10-7 at home to Leinster in late March, the Sharks beat beaten Edinburgh 18-17 away, Ulster 22-19 away and Ospreys 29-10 at home.
In the final round, the Durban-based outfit scratched together a 12-3 home win over Scarlets in a game that didn’t see a single try. It was another poor performance by the hosts, but they managed to somehow get over the line.
Sharks Injuries & Team News
The Sharks have made five changes to their side for this quarterfinal encounter. Jason Jenkins, James Venter and Siya Kolisi all start in the pack while Jordan Hendrikse starts at flyhalf with Siya Masuku injured. Lukhanyo Am also returns to the side to replace Jurenzo Julius.
Munster Form
Munster will not be pleased with their performance this season. They could only manage a sixth-place finish and for the quality they have, that is not high enough.
However, Munster, as mentioned, has a quality side and have already proven they can win anywhere. Two years ago, after another poor season, they managed to win the URC without playing a single knockout game at home.
It will be foolish to write Munster off in this game. They have a history of getting results in South Africa and have some momentum with two wins in their last two matches.
Munster Injuries & Team News
For the third successive game, Munster have named an unchanged lineup. Rory Scannell has been included on the bench for his 100th Munster appearance.
Verdict
I am backing Munster in the handicap market with a possible upset win as well.
