Zebre will fancy a strong performance in this game given that Edinburgh are without some key players. While I don’t fancy an upset, I can see the Italians getting within 14 points.

Zebre are currently 14th on the URC table, three points ahead of the Edinburgh in last place. The Italian side have won one match thus far and drawn another in their opening nine fixtures.

Zebre are perennial bottom feeders in the URC so them being off bottom after nine games is quite a good season to date. They have performed admirably at times and could easily have had another win or two under the belt.

Over December, Zebre lost twice to Benetton home and away in the Italian derby. At home they only went down by seven, but they lost 36-14 away. In their last game before the URC took a two week break for the Six Nations, Zebre lost to Pau 28-27 away after beating the Dragons 20-17 at home in the Challenge Cup.

Zebre should be at full strength this weekend as they do not have many internationals who have stayed with the Italian Six Nations squad.

Edinburgh Form

Edinburgh are having a fine season in the URC, winning six of their nine matches to date. They are currently sixth on the table.

The Scottish side beat Glasgow in their last URC match at home before going down at home by a point to Gloucester in the Challenge Cup. It was followed by a 31-19 win over Scarlets in Wales a week later.
