Zebre Form

Zebre suffered another league defeat last weekend, losing 36-17 away to the Scarlets after trailing 24-0 at the break.

Zebre won their opening home games in the URC, beating Edinburgh 31-28 and the Lions 22-20, before losing 31-13 to the Stormers, 29-14 to Cardiff, 37-23 to Benetton, 26-21 to Glasgow, and 31-15 to Connacht.

Zebre are last in the United Rugby Championship table with 12 points from 13 games.

Zebre are on a five-match home losing streak in the URC and have failed to beat Ulster in their own backyard in their last three meetings.

Ulster Form

Ulster fell short in their match against Connacht last weekend, losing 26-19 at home after the score was 7-7 at half-time.

Ulster have achieved some success away from home in the URC this season. They defeated the Sharks 34-26, lost 49-31 to the Lions, 24-20 to Leinster, beat Connacht 29-24, lost 27-22 to the Scarlets, and 21-10 to the Ospreys before defeating Edinburgh 40-19.

Ulster are 3rd in the United Rugby Championship standings with 42 points from 13 matches.

Ulster will be out for redemption after dropping points in their previous fixture, and will fancy their chances against Zebre, having defeated their hosts in seven of their last eight clashes.

Team News

Zebre

Giacomo Da Re has scored 33 points in the 2025/26 URC.

Simon Gesi has scored four tries for his club this season.

Ulster

Ulster backs coach Mark Sexton highlighted what Ulster failed to do against Connacht: "We had an honest review and talked about simple things like moving quicker, getting set quicker, off the ground quicker and then we can move the ball quicker.

"Our score per entry was quite low at the weekend, so we've put a lot of emphasis on that so when we get into the opposition's 22, we are a bit more accurate and come away with points."

Rob Baloucoune will miss the rest of the season with an elbow injury.

Nick Timoney and Stuart McCloskey are likely to feature against Zebre this weekend.

Verdict

Ulster have a superior record over Zebre and are tipped to cover the -11.5 handicap.
