Head to Head

Argentina have a commanding lead of 40 victories to none against Uruguay.

Argentina Form

Argentina recently played back-to-back matches against England at home, losing the first Test 22-17 and the second 35-12 last weekend.

Before those results, Argentina got their season off to a great start by beating the British & Irish Lions 28-24 at the Aviva Stadium in June.

Argentina will have too much firepower for Uruguay, despite making changes to their squad after their recent clashes against England.

Uruguay Form

Uruguay continued to pile on the points in the second half, scoring five tries and three conversions to rout Romania 70-8.

Uruguay lost 38-17 to Italy, 73-0 to New Zealand, 33-24 to Spain, and 36-20 to Japan before beating Romania 23-21 in their last five away fixtures.

Uruguay will be pleased with their efforts after their latest victory; however, they have a dismal record against Argentina, losing every encounter against their hosts.
