Captain Quagga Smith commented on why his team could not secure the win against Toshiba Brave Lupus last weekend: "Regarding the match, our own mistakes prevented us from doing what we wanted to do, giving the other team chances. Even when we created chances, we weren't able to take them. On the other hand, I think BL Tokyo was able to score points in those situations, and our penalties gave BL Tokyo momentum. We want to take a good look at ourselves from this match, improve, and move on to the next match."

But when things stopped going well, I felt like we weren't doing the basics of rugby well enough. Saitama WK did those basics consistently throughout the game.
