Ireland vs Wales U20 Predictions

Ireland are on a home winning streak against Wales and have been in solid form in the 2026 Six Nations U20 Championship. Wales returned to winning ways in their previous match, but have had little success against Ireland recently.

  • Ireland have won 3 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Ireland have won 2 of their last 5 home matches.
  • Ireland have won 3 consecutive home games against Wales.
  • Wales have lost 6 in a row away from home.
  • Wales have lost 6 of their last 7 matches against Ireland.

Head to Head

Ireland have the advantage with eight victories to five against Wales in 13 meetings since 2014.

Ireland U20 Form

Ireland pulled off an upset result in their final match before a pause in the Six Nations U20 Championship, defeating England 31-21 away.

Before that victory, Ireland lost their opening fixture to France 50-21 away before bouncing back with a narrow 30-27 home win over Italy.

Ireland are second in the table with ten points from three games.

Ireland have found form in the tournament and will fancy their chances of registering their third win in a row when they host a Wales side on a six-match losing streak on the road.

Wales U20 Form

Wales snapped a four-match losing streak with a 31-21 home victory over Scotland in the last match before the break in the tournament.

Before that victory, Wales lost their Six Nations U20 opener to England 19-16 away from home and 34-24 at home to France.

Wales are fourth in the standings with six points after three rounds.

Wales will be pleased to have registered their first victory in the tournament, but they are not out of the woods yet, as they have lost six of their seven clashes with Ireland, including three in a row away from home.
