Blues vs Brumbies Predictions - Blues to see off spirited Brumbies

The 10-point handicap is a tough one considering the form of the visitors, but I do feel the Blues will have too much and win by more than 10.

Last season the Brumbies won this fixture 25-20 at home.

The Blues are second on the Super Rugby table with six wins from their opening seven games. They are five points off the top and level on points with their opponents.

Round three saw the only Blues defeat to date when they went down 29-21 to the table-topping Hurricanes. Since then, they have beaten the Waratahs, Crusaders, Moana and the Western Force.

Besides the two-point success over the Waratahs, the Blues have been in commanding form, beating the Saders by 20 points, Moana by 39 and the Force by 47.

This is a big game for the Blues at home. They need to win to stay in tough with the Hurricanes, but also, their opponents are level on points. The Auckland side have put their strongest side forward.

The Brumbies are on 27 points, level with the Blues in second place. Both sides have won six of their seven games, however, the Brumbies have a far inferior points difference.

After starting the season with a convincing victory, the Brumbies were hammered in round two by the Chiefs. They have bounced back superbly though, winning their last five games.

Three of those victories however came by six or less points, while the Canberra-based outfit also thrashed Moana and last week beat the Waratahs 40-16 at home.

The Brumbies have a chance to upset the odds and go second on the table. They will be wary of what happened last season after making such a strong start to the campaign.
