Brumbies vs Waratahs Predictions

The Brumbies have had a solid Super Rugby campaign so far and often beat the Waratahs in their own backyard. The Waratahs have struggled to win lately and have a poor record against the Brumbies in recent seasons.

  • Brumbies have won 3 of their last 5 fixtures.
  • Brumbies have won 2 of their last 5 home matches.
  • Brumbies have won 8 of their last 9 home games against the Waratahs.
  • Waratahs have lost 3 consecutive fixtures.
  • Waratahs have won 3 of their last 5 away games.
  • Waratahs have lost 14 of their last 16 away matches to the Brumbies.

Head to Head

The Brumbies have a commanding lead of 22 victories to 11 against the Waratahs in 33 meetings.

Brumbies Form

The Brumbies produced an excellent second-half display against the Chiefs last weekend, winning 33-24 at home after trailing 17-7 at half-time.

The Brumbies have contested five other fixtures this season. They defeated the Western Force 56-24 away, the Crusaders 50-24 away, and the Blues 30-27 at home before losing 34-31 to the Reds at home, and 42-27 to the Fijian Drua away.

The Brumbies are 3rd in the Super Rugby standings with 19 points from six matches.

The Brumbies returned to winning ways after losing back-to-back fixtures and will relish taking on the Waratahs at home, having won eight of their last nine meetings.

Waratahs Form

The Waratahs were outplayed in the second half against the Blues in their Super Rugby match last weekend, losing 35-10 at home after leading 17-8 at the break.

Before that result, the Waratahs defeated the Reds 36-12 and the Fijian Drua 36-13 at home, before losing 59-19 to the Hurricanes, and 26-17 to the Reds away.

The Waratahs are 7th in the Super Rugby table with ten points from five games.

The Waratahs started their season well, but their form has dipped, and they have had little success against the Brumbies over the years, with 14 defeats in their last 16 matches.
