My best bet is for the Tahs’ to get inside the 13-point handicap and perhaps pull off a surprise win.

The Waratahs have only managed two wins all season and are currently on 12 points. They are still just a point off the final quarterfinal berth though so that will still very much be a target.

The season started with a few promising performances but ultimately, other than their win over the Crusaders in round two, the Tahs’ ended up on the losing side of tight games too often.

However, last time out they did manage to win, beating the Crusaders for the second time this season 43-40 at home. That could be a catalyst for the rest of the season, but they will need to win games like this at home.

The hosts needthis victory on home soil to build some momentum. They had a bye last weekend so I do expect them to be at full strength.

Chiefs Form

The Chiefs season has not been nearly as good as last season where they were beating all comers. After eight games, they are still looking good in fifth place with five wins and three defeats though.

Two defeats in their last three games is not what they were hoping for. At the end of March the Chiefs lost by 11 points to the Crusaders, handing the defending champions their first win of the season.

They bounced back to thrash Moana 68-12 but then went down 36-23 to the Hurricanes a fortnight ago.
